The famous mural at Copper Creek Inn at Mount Rainier was painted in 1955 by Fred Oldfield, a neighbor and friend of Copper Creek's owner Roselea Triggs in the 50's. . . It adorns the back wall of the dining room.

I brought my friend Rhonda for a ‘decompression’ visit. The Cabinette's always live up to my expectations. We had bit of a scramble for dinner last night. We put off leaving till late and so we faced a line at Alexander's so we thought we would try the Longmire Inn – too late – they stopped serving at 8:30. Back down the mountain to Copper Creek. Eureka!! The name may be copper, but the experience was golden. Welcoming service even late on a Saturday. Excellent quality ingredients, rustic environment! Trout and mashed potatoes with really excellent pie for dessert. They have recently started up, so they are still tweaking the menu – they are definitely on the right track.
