Enjoy the Benefits of Co-op Membership in the Mountain Community Co-op
by Ellen McKinley, Co-op President

Mountain Community Co-op is now offering memberships to the public. For a one-time, $50 investment, you can become a founding member of our much anticipated natural foods store.

Cooperative members are the sole owners of the corporation and are entitled to discounts on products, are eligible to serve on the board of directors, and can vote on all issues put to a membership vote. Cooperatives are members joining together for their mutual benefit, to provide a service to themselves that is otherwise unavailable or more expensive. Cooperatives differ from typical corporations in that they operate as close to cost as possible; profits are returned to members (through discounts, reinvestment in the corporation or through patronage rebates).

With the current buying club, the co-op charges members a lower markup than non-members. So enjoy the benefits of co-op membership and become a member now!
