IT'S " BACK TO THE FUTURE" AT COPPER CREEK INN
"Our goal is to restore the charm, fun and quality of product and service that made COPPER CREEK INN famous around the world" says new owner Phil Freeman. "We're reviving the Glory Days of Copper Creek". Copper Creek Inn has kept all the great menu items; trout, chicken, halibut and steak dinners, meat filled piping hot stew, the Copper Topper cinnamon rolls, fresh baked bread, and, of course, Jenny's famous blackberry pie.
New menu items include:
- A fabulous seafood chowder served everyday. "As good or better than the best New England Chowder" according to one of the recent guests from Boston
- Copper Creek four bean chili (not some phoney baloney Texas Chili), a very hearty spicy and delicious bowl!
- Garlic roasted potatoes
- The mountain scramble breakfast
- Whole bean, fresh ground French roast coffee, and Delano's espresso
- Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials so the local patrons will always have something new on the menu.
- Imported French and Italian wines complimented by the Mt. Baker Vineyards selection (some of the best of the Northwest wines available) have been added to the menu.
Copper Creek Inn has maintained the moderate pricing, so a family meal is still very affordable.
The Copper Creek gift shop is a huge hit. Owner Catharine Gallagher has done her magic bringing in wonderful gifts you can't find elsewhere, including many items under $20.00 perfect for children and adults. It is difficult to keep the Copper Creek Blackberry vinagarette, blackberry jam and blackberry syrup in stock. People buy it at the restaurant and call up a week later and order a case of each for themselves and to give as gifts. Copper Creek Inn will ship anywhere.
Copper Creek Inn has always been used for lodging, but some years ago a roof was added that covered the upstairs windows. After that the upstairs rooms became poorly lit apartments or were used for storage. The new owners found the answer to getting light back into the upstairs rooms was in one of the historic photos laminated into the lunch counter. Voila. Back to the Future.
Once restored to its original state the building come back to life. The upstairs rooms are bright and inviting and the restaurant is filled with light. A newfound view of the beautiful forest across the highway is revealed. Picnic tables have been added to the front porch so guests can enjoy their meals outside on sunny days. Stop by and see the changes. It's like going Back to the Future!
